Hi, I’m Scott,

Alongside my wife, Amie, we’re the hearts and wheels behind Roamers RV Gear. You might say we’re quite the adventurous duo. We’ve always had this insatiable passion for RVing, longing for the sense of freedom that comes with a home on the move. But it wasn’t until 2016, after the heart-wrenching loss of my brother and father (within weeks of each other), that Amie and I had that life-altering realization: it was time to make a change.

In 2021, we took that leap of faith. We sold our house and hit the wide-open road—a dream we had been nurturing since tying the knot in 1990. Over the years, we’ve gone from wrestling with a tent in the rain, graduating to a pop-up camper, only to circle back to the occasional tenting excursion for a period of time. It wasn’t until 2020 that we once again embraced a home on wheels, starting with a travel trailer and then moving on to a 5th wheel that we call our home today!

Our travels aren’t just about us, though. With every mile, we’ve gathered knowledge and stories we are eager to share with others who dream of this lifestyle. That’s the spirit behind our YouTube channel, TheRoadRoamers, where we bring you along on our journey and share insights on all things RV-related, always keeping it real for our fellow roaming enthusiasts.

But, of course, living this dream wouldn’t be the same without a blend of challenge and comfort. That’s where Roamers RV Gear comes into play—a store born from miles trekked and lessons learned. I’m excited to introduce you to the core of Roamers RV Gear – my family. Amie and I are proud parents to three wonderful children – who grew up camping, hiking, biking (and more), and grandparents to five amazing grandkids. Our story is one of dedication, love, and an enduring passion for traveling the open road and where it leads us.

Our personal experiences shape our business. With over 27 years of autobody work under my belt, I’ve developed a knack for fixing and understanding the finer details of RV gear. Meanwhile, Amie’s extensive knowledge from over 25 years in real estate has taught us a thing or two about the importance of a solid foundation, whether it’s a house or an RV.

It’s been a thrilling ride – from our early camping days in a humble tent to embracing the grandeur of a 5th wheel. Our journey hasn’t just been about upgrading our accommodations; it’s about upgrading our lives and sharing what we’ve learned.
